3D Data Capture Contributor

About the Role

Blizmo Labs is building the ground-truth layer for the 3D economy. We capture and structure real-world environments, objects, and materials into high-quality 3D data for AI, digital creation, simulation, and spatial technologies.

As a 3D Data Capture Contributor, you will help us document real-world subjects across Lagos and Ibadan, Nigeria using photography and photogrammetry techniques. You don't need to be an expert 3D artist. We provide the capture standards and workflow; your role is to carefully capture, organize, and submit high-quality source data.

This is a practical, field-based opportunity for people interested in 3D, photography, digital production, AI data, and emerging technologies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Capture objects and environments using a smartphone or camera according to Blizmo's capture guidelines.
2. Follow defined camera movements, coverage patterns, lighting and image-quality requirements.
3. Identify and document suitable subjects for capture based on project requirements.
4. Record essential information about each capture, including location, subject description, dimensions, materials and other required metadata.
5. Organize and name image files correctly before submission.
6. Check captured images for blur, missing coverage, exposure issues and other problems before uploading.
7. Follow all required permission, consent, safety and access procedures when capturing subjects or locations.
8. Submit complete capture packages through Blizmo's designated workflow and respond to quality-assurance feedback.
9. Re-capture or correct submissions that do not meet the required technical standards.
10. Maintain accurate records and meet agreed project timelines.

Who We're Looking For

You may be a good fit if you are:

• A photographer, 3D artist, animator, VFX artist, game artist, XR creator, architecture student, creative technologist, or simply interested in learning 3D data production.
• Comfortable using a smartphone camera or digital camera.
• Detail-oriented and patient with repetitive capture work.
• Able to follow technical instructions and standardized workflows.
• Curious about photogrammetry, 3D scanning, AI and spatial technologies.
• Comfortable moving around Lagos and Ibadan to complete assigned capture tasks.
• Able to work independently and meet agreed deadlines.
• Interested in building practical experience and a portfolio in emerging 3D technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of photography, 3D modelling, Blender, photogrammetry, VFX, XR or game development.
• Previous experience using photogrammetry or 3D scanning tools.
• Experience working with structured datasets or digital asset pipelines.
• Access to a smartphone with a capable camera; access to a DSLR or mirrorless camera is an advantage.
• Experience documenting physical objects or environments systematically.

Prior photogrammetry experience is not mandatory.
